The city lord tells his son that the demon beasts have arrived and that he will kill all of them. He orders his brother to come with him to the southern wall to protect it from the beast. He also says that the rest of his family can go to the northern wall to guard it. He says that he is going to do as he is commanded. He tells the son to dig trenches along the wall and add oil and bamboo to the walls. The alchemists have also come to the city walls to produce barrels of some mixture. The demon beast horde is about to arrive any time now.
