This chapter's epigraph comes from the opening lines of Chapter 1 of the novel: "You might think these kids are just black , g rank . . It's better, not to provoke, them ." This is a reference to the fact that the undead have killed two "legendary experts" from the family . The chapter ends with a shout-out to the "layering kids" , who have "actually slaughtered my crew" and "killed two legend . rank experts from my family" . In other words, they've killed a bunch of "experts" in the family, and they're also the ones who've offended the undead by killing two of their own family members. This is the first time we've heard this line of dialogue, so we're not sure what to make of it. We're guessing it's just a coincidence that the two undead kids are from the same family, or at least that's what the narrator is trying to tell us. The narrator tells us that he's worried about the undead's strength, since they killed two of his family's "experts," but he doesn't want to provoke them.
