The chapter opens with Ren saying that the demon lord he saw established the Dark Guild in his last life. He doesn't know that this is true, but he does know that the leader of that group has always been Ren's old friend, the old demon lord. Ren thinks that Ren is a genius, but that he'll have to cultivate his own legend to be able to defeat the old man. Ren tells us that he is the servant of the city lord, and that Ren can call him "father-in-law" . Ren says that Ren needs to talk to him, because he's given Ren so much money, and Ren knows what Ren is up to. Ren asks Ren if he needs to tell ziyun about what's going on, but Ren says he can't, since Ren can only call Ren "father - in-law." Ren tells Ren that he can only give Ren whatever he wants, and then Ren can tell him what he wants.
