The narrator thanks the temporal book for giving him the ability to go back in time. He wonders why the book disappears when everything is restarted. The narrator's head hurts, but he's okay. He thanks Zillah and Siddhartha for saving his life. They're all here, he says, living in a world that's not a dream anymore. He tells Zillah that he coughed "to life and death" in this world over a month ago. Zillah tells him that they need to wait for the "draconic ruins" to open before they can go back to the real world. He wants to go home to say goodbye to his family. They ask someone to come and take his family back to their real lives. He promises to make Zillah his father if his daughter becomes a widow.
