This chapter opens with a soliloquy by Sikong, in which he tells his nephew that he's definitely not going to hand over the "stones of light" to him. Sikong says that he needs to think of a way to help his nephew, because he doesn't have the skills to be a leader of the silverwing tribe. He suggests that Sikong send someone out to harvest the old bag of medicine, but the world is full of demon beasts, so it's really not worth it. He also suggests that the elders who live in his territory can stay with Sikong and help him harvest the medicine, since they're the only ones who've reached the "legend rank." Sikong is worried that the outside world is dangerous, but he'll send some gold ranks with him to protect him. He asks if he can bring duanjian along to help him test the medicine. He's worried that Duanjian is testing medicine on Sikong's friends, but Sikong assures him that they'll all be back soon.
