During the dark ages, alchemists were often killed. They had to work very hard to make potions that could be used to heal the wounded. They also had to sell many of their weapons and armor to raise money to buy new ones. This is why alchemy was so important in the dark age. Now, however, it's even more important because alchemists can refine potions that can heal even the most hardened of wounds. The young master asks the alchemist if he's an alchemist. The alchemist says that he isn't a member of any particular family. He says that if the divine flames family needed an alchemist, he'd be happy to help them. He doesn't know how the alchemist plans to work with the young master, but he does know that he'll be able to supply the alchemist with large quantities of alchemy ingredients.
