The demon lord asks where he came from and where is he going. He realizes that the great emperor has left behind his intention when he carved the words, and that someone later scratched them out, but he cannot figure out the meaning behind the words. He wonders if after he attained enlightenment, the emperor left for a different place. He also wonders if the emperor did not stay on in this land because he was unable to comprehend the meaning of life. He thinks back to his past lives, when he saw the phrase "infinite nothingness" and was able to comprehend it, but now he is unable to grasp the whole meaning of the phrase. He calculates that there are five people who can obtain the phrase, and they will fight each other until one of them devours the other four and comes to meet him. He concludes that even though he is within the realm of the emperor, he is also within the orbit of the heavenly calculation.
