The chapter opens with a flashback to the beginning of the previous chapter, in which we learn that Ming's soul power is already at bronze rank, which means that she is a demon spiritualist. Ming is shocked to learn that his niece has achieved soul form, and he is even more shocked when he learns that Ming is engaged to be married to the head of the family. Ming explains that he has asked the men to help him steal the throne from the family head, but they have not yet done so, and Ming is still two years away from the wedding.
