In this short scene, Desdemona explains to her master, Eliza Beth, that she cannot become the "demon lord" because she is already in love with him. She tells him that every time she is reborn, she is pre-destined to become his lover. She explains that she has always loved her, and that she wishes she had ignored her when she asked for her help. She says that she loves all 106 of her subjects, including Eliza. She asks her master to help her break the curse, and she suggests that they work together to do so.
