Eliza begs to be left alone with her father. Helbram tries to convince her not to go, but she refuses to leave him alone. She tells him that she has to get the people of the town to safety, and that he has to kill Gil if the magic doesn't stop. Gil's wound is getting worse, and he says that he needs to kill him ASAP. He asks if the knights think that a princess is a princess, and Eliza says that they do. She asks if they are from the demon race, and she says yes. She says that she often says that name in her sleep, and now she gets it, that he is from the same race that killed elaine. He says that if he were in her position, he would kill her, but he sees that they are almost at the end of their rope, and so he asks her to hand him the knife.
