About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that Golgius ordered Caius Martius to go on a suicide mission, but he was spooked by an explosion and ran away. He is now in Basta Prison, where he is being held captive by the Knights of the Round Table. The doctor, Dr. dana, is in the middle of explaining to his daughter how he came to Basta, and how he was almost killed in the fight with the knights. He tells her that if they had not come to the town, she would not have been kidnapped by the knights, and Dr. Martius would still be alive. He says that he has made up his mind to put an end to the "holy knights," and that if he had not gone looking for "the seven deadly sins" , he would have been killed either by a knight or skewered. He asks her not to forget the ideals that she has set for him, and she says that she will carry them out. She tells him that the doctor has not left the town since she left, and that no one has come to see her since. She asks him if he is okay, and he says that even if he dies, he will still try his best to protect his kingdom and people.
