This chapter's epigraph comes from a conversation between Ursula and Malateste, who are on their way back to the kingdom when they are attacked by the demons. Ursula tells Malatester that she has heard that the lion is in good health, and that she will give him a toast in his honor tonight. She also tells him that the captain will always return to life, even if he is cursed by the demon lord. She says that the souls of the four knights will rest in peace in this place, and she hopes that they will be able to return the kingdom to its original state.
