About This Chapter
In this short scene, Desdemona asks the three knights if they would like to be immortalized as holy knights. They all agree that they would, but Desdemonas wants to know what they're going to do about it. First, he wants to see how strong the holy knighthood really is. He's going to go to the "remote regions" of the kingdom and find out what the knights have made of their new badges. He wants to make sure that the three of them are honest about what they think of the medals. He doesn't want to see them wearing the new badges, but he also wants to be sure that they don't take him on in a fight. He asks the knights to remember that they were his "highness" , so he'll be the first one to go and see what the medals are made of. He also asks them to remember his place in the story. He says that he's not going to take on a guy who's wearing an eye-brow, goatee, or anything else that would make him look like an evil eye. Instead, he plans to fight meliodas on his behalf. He looks at the knights' combat class, which is a measure of the strength of a person's magic powers. He compares it to the magic of a boar's hat, which shows the wearer's strength in combat. The magic of the hat shows that the wearer is strong enough to be a holy knight. He then compares the combat class of a man with a high magic class to that of a guy with a low magic class.
