About This Chapter
In this chapter, Bardolph and the others try to find out the truth about what happened at the battle at Shrewsbury. Bardolph says that he's seen enough, and that he can see that even the dark side could be defeated. He tells Bardolph that he has a combat class of 1690, which is a rough estimate of the strength of a person's body. He compares this to his own combat class: "I am alped with it," he says, "and I am sure I am familiar with it." Bardolph is amazed that Bardolph has a higher combat class than him. He says that his own class is 3250, which means that he too is a combat-class indoor type. He adds that his father would never have attacked Bardolph if he had known that he was going to be killed. He wonders if this is an omen of war, or if it's just his "magic vision" . He asks Bardolph to come with him to the battle, so that they can thank him for what he has done for them.
