About This Chapter
Back at the castle, koff asks why his brother always dismisses him. He says that he was under the control of Hal's "mind control" when the castle fell into ruin. . He tells koff that he will be stronger than Hal, and that he would kill him if he were in koff's shoes. He also tells him that if he had been in his shoes, he would have killed meliodas. He reminds koff of the promise he made to him to track down and stop the "seven deadly sins" with him, and koff says he would not forget the promise. He adds that he is not about to say that he cannot do anything, but just as he cannot give up some things, he can't give up others either. He asks koff if he really thinks that elaine would come back if she knew that she would be able to do so at that cost. He replies that if it is a lie, then he would be her best friend, and if true, then koff would be the best friend. He admits that he met the Cap'n and others after elaine's death, but that he never got tired of the "perpetual dangers" they had to face. He realizes that he won't be alone forever, and so he decides to do what he ought to do.
