The chapter opens on a mountaintop in the forest. It is ten years since the last time we saw Menachio. Menachio and his sister, Jenna, are on their way to the Holy Land, and they are greeted by the great hawk, who tells them that the gate to the land has been opened. The great hawk says that he is a friend of the Seven Deadly Sins and a leader of the knights of scraps disposal. He tells Jenna and her sister that he has grown very large in the last fifteen years. He says that they are both as small as they were when they first arrived in the land. Jenna tells him that she is the third princess of the kingdom of thelio, and that she and Menachio have come to visit the holy land. She says that she knows why they are coming, and she is happy to see them again. She tells the hawk that she will be testing him to see if he can return his power to her. The hawk tells her that he will have to pass the test, which will determine whether or not he will return her power
