In this chapter, we learn that the "hateful cannot rest" within the "grim cocoon" is the "battle ground" of the dead. It is the place where the souls of those who have been killed are being fed the "melodioas" negative energy. This is the source of the souls' strength. It must be where Diomedes's captives are being held captive, because the "spirit of chastity" has been fed to them by the heart of their city, and they cannot be called "small fries" anymore, because they have been beaten up by the "fox sin of greed" . The dead keep falling, the narrator tells us, and the narrator is sorry, but the seven "deadly sins" are destined to be friends who will defeat the ten "commands" and not under "esti mate" them. The narrator is amazed at the power of the "next demon lord" , who is the last one to be killed, and he is furious that he is the only one who has been able to defeat the "command." He is also angry at the fact that he has been unable to control his "conciousness," which has been "swamped" by an "eddy" of fear and anger.
