About This Chapter
The three men enter the tavern, where the captain is daydreaming about his new job as a bartender. He asks the bartender if he's leaving him in charge of "attracting patrons giant waitress" . The bartender tells him that he can do whatever he wants as long as it's not a job that involves carrying around a dagger. The captain tells the bartender that if he needs money, he can just go ahead and get it. He's been in prison for five years, so he can't be carrying around that dagger anymore. He tells the captain that he'll be a free man when he gets his beer at the tavern. The cap asks if the bartender has a problem with the stuffed animals, and the bartender says that he has. He says that the king went to return the animals to the kingdom, but the king didn't like the way that ban cleaned up the mess left by the king's return. The two of them were a good pair, the cap says, and they were always right behind the king. He also says that a few days ago, holy knights from the kingdom came to the village and took everyone away.
