In this chapter, we learn that the reason that the captain controls his power is because he's too strong. He's also too old, too frail, and too old to keep up with the advances of the times. The only way to get rid of this problem, he says, is to get back the power he stole from the captain. He asks for it to be erased from his memory, so that he won't be able to remember it. He also asks for the power to be sealed off from him, so he can't remember it again. He then asks that the power be wiped off the map so that no one will ever know that he stole it. Geez, that's a lot of work.
