The next morning, the captain tells his son to get up and wash his face. The messenger tells him that the castle is back to normal and that he has restored half of it. The other half is still in ruins. The captain says that they wasted a good opportunity to apologize to each other. The man says that he is not saying that he understands the captain's point of view, but that it is because he is also cursed. He tells the captain that the threat of their ten commandments has subsided and that they need someone to lead them. He asks the captain to name a new holy knight and says that if anyone complains, he will appoint the new knight himself.
