In this chapter, we learn that the seven "deadly sins" are united under the banner of the Seven Deadly Sins. The king and his men are in the middle of a dream, and the king is overcome with emotion. He tells his men that he just had the "best dream" of his life, and that he wants to talk to the king about his past. He wants to know why he fainted, and he tells the king that he has kept his promise to him from 200 years before. He asks the king if he still loves him, and when the king replies that he does, the king tells him that he can be a fairy king. He then tells the story of how he and his brother, Lowe, were prepared for the events that took place at the castle. He says that he is sorry that Lowe and he were too scared to tell him that they were dead or not, but that he and Lowe were prepared to deal with the situation. He also says that his brother is not hostile toward him, but protects him because he cannot be loyal to him. In the next life, he says, he will protect what the king cherishes in his stead, no matter what the form that takes.
