The three men discuss the corpse, which is all red and "flabby" . It's the same red demon that they saw in the forest twenty years ago. They're sure that the source of all the magic is the same demon, the red demon. Captain Strong points out that it's been twenty years since he first saw the corpse. The red demon, he says, has been a "fortunate windfall" for him. He used everyone he knew to find those "compatible with demon blood" , and now he's able to create a new form of the demon's power. He's glad they've reached the bottom of the cave, but he warns them to be careful because the cave is "pitch black" below them. He tells them to stay up and watch, and says that they're going to "flicka booger" : "spirit spear chas . . seventh form . limis nosity " . He thanks them all for their help, and tells them that he'll be thanking them any time. He says that this is only the first step, and that there's a "thing up ahead" that's even better than the red: "there's something up ahead . unlike the blood . nobody . let alone humans, what the heck can handle the reaction of this guy glow ? . ash . gray demon ." Captain Strong says that he was hoping to get more time to study this guy, but now that he sees him, he doesn't want to get away.
