In this short scene, Ban tells his friends that the monster has eaten his soul. He tells them that the town has been totally destroyed, and that they should take their time tracking down the monster. He also tells them to be more gentle with him when he puts him down, because the monster is still alive. He says that he will hide behind a tree and return to his body when he is ready to do so.
