About This Chapter
This chapter opens with a description of the castle in the forest. It is described as being protected from the elements by the archangel Ludohel. The castle has a gate that leads to heaven, but details of the gate are not known. The demons have been defeated by the Ten Commandments in the West, but by sheer force of will, they can be defeated. Gerharde, the servant of the fairy king, asks the king if he is a demon. The king replies that he is, but that he knows that the war is not inherently righteous and wicked. He says that he and the prince are friends, and that they are certain that they will be able to eradicate all the demons from the world. He tells the king that they should cut off their ties with Martio, because Martio is not a good partner for them. He also says that Martio can do nothing to help them, and so they should focus their efforts on the plan they have already formulated. He adds that he would rather go after Martio than go after his sister, who cannot do anything for him. He then asks why he is sighing in the voice of solinas, and he wonders if she is familiar with him. She tells him that she has been serving Martio since the beginning of time. He asks if she has forgotten ten magical powers, which Martio has told her to protect the forest while he is away
