About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that the seven "deadly sins" have all gone to the "capital of the dead" . In other words, it's the place where all the "dead" are buried. The narrator asks the king who he is, and the king tells him that he's not really the king anymore. He's just like the guy who stole the stuffed animals from the kingdom. The king tells the narrator that he doesn't care about what happens to other people, and that he just wants to " satisfy his own greed." The king asks the narrator to tell him the story of the fountain of youth. The fountain was the source of all the water that gave life to the people of the kingdom, and it was stolen from the king's palace by a bandit who used it to give water to his own people. The prince tells the story to the narrator, and then he leaves.
