The chapter opens with a flashback to the previous chapter, in which Malvolio explains that his body is not listening to him. He wishes that he could have seen his hawk brother once, but he thinks that would have been too much for him to bear. He tells the others not to give up on their mission to rescue him, because he has decided to go back to his body. He explains that he has seen the Mor-Tal plane, which he calls the "high-density dark zone" that has been created by meliodas, and he fears that it will not be able to be destroyed with magic. He also warns them that escanor is the most irritating man he has ever met, and that he will give his life to protect him and margaret. He says that the only way to get back out of the high-density is to restore him to his former form, which will be easier for them to do.
