The chosen queen is shocked to find out that she has been chosen to be the new queen of England. She asks the chosen knight and the chosen sorceress to take care of her on the way home. The chosen knight is angry that they have come to the mountains to find a place where they can try to have sex. He is also angry because they are traveling with the same people who have made him and Gilbert suffer for the past ten years. He feels that he is powerless to do anything except pray. He says that he would never have been able to go on such a journey on his own. He wonders why they didn't go to a village. He thinks that the chosen queen was lonely and that she wanted to get to know Gilbert. He also wonders if she is having a fit. He asks if they should go after her and she says that it is a big hole in the ground. He adds that he has been waiting for a woman like her to carry his devotion and that he will endure whatever it takes to get Gilbert back from the vivian.
