In the midst of the battle, the monspencer and the derieri disappear, leaving only the shrimps to fend for themselves. The two of them vow never to forgive each other, and they vow to devote themselves to protecting the royal family. The shrimps, they say, are still alive, because they're the only ones who've survived the battle. They promise to protect the royals with their lives, and to keep waiting for them inside the castle. They're also going to keep an eye on the maids and chamberlains who are still inside, waiting for the battle to end.
