"I just wanted to ask you how you're doing" , the girl says. She's been trying to cheer her up, and she's glad that her mom and the others have come to visit her in Japan. She doesn't want to make a recording of the whole thing, though, because she wants to make sure that she'll be able to tell her parents what's going on when they get back to the States. The girl tells her dad that she saw Lily at the grocery store the other day, and Lily still thinks about her. She tells the girl that she always wished she could apologize to her brother, but she can't figure out where he is. Lily says that it's really hard for her to be his sister, because the whole vibe she got from him was that he was relieved to hear the news, but that he's still not sure how he'll respond to it. She says that she wishes she could just "wave a magic wand" and make Lily happy, like brother and sister. She also says that Lily is so tiny that if she were like a typical Japanese chick, she'd always bow at everyone, and that would be one thing. She adds that she knows that Lily would be ashamed if something happened to her, since she sounds so full of herself.
