About This Chapter
In his own words, Grace thanks him for his part in the play. He says that since he met him, he's changed, and that's thanks to the director, who's done a great job of improving the parts. Grace says that they got into the play so much that they ended up with a happy ending, and she's sorry that they didn't get to say their goodbyes to each other. Grace tells him that he passed the test as an actor, and he hopes that he'll be a good example for the next generation of actors. He tells Grace that he wants to be lost with her, not with grace. Grace is shocked at this, and says that he thought he'd gotten through to her this time. He asks Grace to tell him how much she likes him, and Grace says it's because she'd be in love with someone like him. Grace admits that she doesn't like him, but she says that she should be, too, because she started their sophomore year together, and they're both really grateful that they were able to do this together. Grace wants to continue working with him, so he asks if he can do the role of the script writer with him. He's already made up his mind to do that, and now he just wants to do it as a friend.
