In this chapter, we learn that the narrator is a member of the underworld syndicate, and that he has been ordered to sell one of his members to the black market. The narrator tells us that he is a Japanese teacher slash novelist mafioso. He tells the narrator that he submitted a story for a literary magazine, but that it was not well written. He says that he lost his love for her while chasing after her dream, and if this is the way things turn out, then he hopes that she will be able to help him become a novelist
