Back in New York City, we catch up with the narrator. He's still not over Hiroshi, and he's bummed out that he didn't get to go on another date with him when he got back to Japan. The narrator tells us that Hiroshi's been asking if they'd like to meet up, and the two of them decide to do so. Hiroshi asks if they want to go shopping, but the narrator doesn't want to be a part of it, so he leaves Hiroshi alone. He tells the narrator that he came to check on her for the sake of Hiroshi and to make sure that she's doing okay. He also tells her that she should be careful with her cooking, since it's not very well-done. He warns her not to touch the body of Tachibana, since that'll make her look like a sexual harasser, and she'll be hurt if she does. She's an incredible cook, the narrator tells him. He says that he used to cook with her when he lived in Japan, and that she used to be so good at it that he was jealous of her. He asks if she cooks for Hiroshi a lot, but she says that she cooked for him for a long time while she was in Japan. She tells him that he'd probably start crying if he saw her cook for him, but that it might be okay if they didn''t hang out with each other.
