The chapter opens with a discussion of the "sex drive" of girls, which is said to be "sky-sappos rocketed edly" at birth. The narrator tells us that he's heard rumors that girls have sex drives, but he doesn't believe them. He says that if he were the one to deny the rumors, the rumors would seem more believable. The chapter ends with the narrator telling us that the rumors about him are "not true, right ! . . they're just something stupid my friend told me" .
