One night in New York City, Hiroshi and his friend Shimizu go to see a Christmas play. Hiroshi is bummed because he's not sure how to act in front of a crowd. He's also bummed because his sister doesn't seem to know what's going on between him and Miyomi. He tells his friend that he went with Natsuo to the theater to see the Christmas play, but he didn't hear anything. He asks his sister if she knew anything, and she says that she did, but that she doesn1t know what happened in particular. She tells him that a regular customer at the restaurant has written to thank them for their work on the decorations for the Christmas menu. She also tells them that the customers are over-socialized on social media, and that they should keep up the good work. She asks Hiroshi to show her how to do the carving on the menu, and he tells her that they haven1t been working on it for a long time. He says that he used to work in a Japanese restaurant that used expensive earthenware, and now he wants to use a thin layer of glue to make the carving look like it is made of real wood.
