In this chapter, we learn that the host of a brothel, a girl named Solan, is in love with a young man named San, who works as a prostitute. Solan tells Solan that he has come to earn his money, and that he will do his best to make the young man look like he is enjoying himself. He tells him that he feels bad for him, too, because he is a poor girl who has had to live with her parents all her life. He says that he wants to make himself happy, so he will stop working at the brothel and go to a con-venience store, where he can buy something hot and trade it for a job.
