In this chapter, we learn that we're back in Hiroshi's apartment, where he's been hanging out with his friends since the end of the first day of school. He's not feeling well, and they're having a hard time getting along. He tells them to eat some fresh vegetables, which they do, and then he tells them that he made them all himself, and that he'd like to talk to them about a "friend ship" . He also tells them about the " nympho bug" , which is like a bug that jumps from one guy to another, and how she's "insane" and "crazy" at the same time. Hiroshi says that he should "stay away" from the girl because she "jumps from guy-to-guy" and shows her "cleav age" on purpose during the summer. He doesn't know if he should stay away or not, but he does know that the girl has been "famous around school" since the beginning of the school year, and he thinks it's crazy that she "scares" guys into falling in love with her. He asks if he can borrow a copy of a book from a nearby book store, and says he'll check it out.
