About This Chapter
The next day, Tamura asks Tamura if she's resolved to move out of the house. Tamura says that she has been thinking about this for a while, but that she doesn't think it's a good idea. She's worried about her mom and her rui, and she'd like to be able to support herself, but she can't because she has to worry about the fujii, who live in the house with the Tamuras. She tells Tamura that they're moving out before the break, and Tamura thinks that's the fault of the whole family. He tells her that they should all go to a festival together, since they all look forward to going to the festival every year. He also says that Tamura is wearing a yukata, which is a kind of kimono-like garment, and that boys look more handsome in it than in a jinbe, a Japanese clothing style. He says that he'll show his son the owner of the festival's owner's display tonight, and he's sorry that he didn't show him. He'll give away some of his own clothes to anyone who wants them.
