Hirokazu asks Tommo if they can go for a walk on a Saturday. Tommo says that he's tired and wants to get some fresh air. He's also thinking about getting a part-time job so that he can pay for his education. Hiroko asks him if he has written a new novel, and he says yes. He also asks if he is writing another in first person, with his new heroine as the main character. He says that his third novel is a short story for Kiriya-sensei to evaluate. He then asks if she is writing a novel in the first person with her as the heroine. She's already written one in the second person, which he thinks is a little weak. He asks if they'll be able to go on a date during the holidays, and she says that's a good idea. They decide to go somewhere far away from each other.
