The next morning, Mina tries to find the key to the door, but it's still in the hands of the butler. She begs the butler to let her out of the room, but the butler refuses. Mina tells the butler that she's going to run off to look for her brother. Mina says that she knows where he is, but that she has to go out looking for him because he's too weak to do so. She tells him to chill and not to call her miko, which is a Japanese term for "friend." She says that if she backs down now, she'll regret it for the rest of her life. She wants to tell everyone that they're leaving for the festival later that day, but she doesn't want to tell anyone that she and Mina were lovers when they were younger.
