This chapter opens with a conversation between Hiroshi and Mishima. Hiroshi tells Mishima that he has been staying at Mishima's house for three days. Mishima asks where Hiroshi is, and Hiroshi replies that he is on his way to school. He says that he does not want to see Mishima anymore because he has lost all of his hair and is no longer able to see her. He asks Mishima if he can go rescue his cat, which is being carried downstream by the current. Misys replies that no one can come to rescue the cat because it is too big for them. He also says that Hiroshi has forgotten to call him.
