In this short scene, Hiromasa tells us that he has heard rumors that he will be held back for a year if he does not pass the entrance exams. He also says that he is sorry that he did not attend the last two days of the exam, but that his scores on the exam were good enough to get him into the top ten. He tells his friend Harima that he cannot be surprised if he fails the exam the next day. Harima tells him that he can have whatever he wants if he likes, but he must stay back and wait for the spirit to catch him. He says that the only solution to his problem is to study, and he tells Harima to write all of his English words on the back of his body.
