It's the end of the school trip, and the students are enjoying themselves. One of the best parts of the trip was going to the mountains, where they learned how to fight from the Tengu sword. One day, Minamotorama and Tamura are going to meet up with Tamura's father, who is going to visit a friend in Nara. Tamura is psyched to see his father, but he's also worried that he'll be late for the train. He's going to have to ride back by bike, which is a pain, but it's what he has to do to get back to the train station. He tells himself that the only way he can get back is by riding the train, and that this will be the last time he will do this since he was a kid. He also tells Tamura that he has been hanging out with her for too long, and he wants to know why she hasn't changed a bit since she was a child. She doesn't have to tell him, though, because they've been talking for so long that they can't even remember what they were talking about when they were kids. They're going to get on the train together, and they're all going to be in the same seat, so Tamura asks Tamura if she's her favorite track-and-field athlete, and she says that she is. She's shocked that he would say that, since he'd been completely rejected by the other students.
