"The gift" is a gift from Mito to Tenma. Mito tells Tenma that she is sleeping with him, and Tenma tells Mito that she and Mito stayed in an abandoned temple, wrapped up in a blanket. Tenma says that she did not bring any money with her, and that she will not say anything to Mito about it. She says that Mito may not look at her, but that she may not be able to see her face. She asks Mito if he and Akira are thinking about the job they are about to do. She tells him that she would rather have a beard to rescue her than have to deal with Mito's rudeness. She also says that he looks like he has already finished his work, and she wonders why Mito is so rude to her
