About This Chapter
The next morning, Mi-chan wakes up and tells Teta-san that he's been waiting all day for her to come back. He's worried that she hasn't had a day off in a while, and that she's not feeling well. He tells her that the first-year guys have been trash talking about how they don't deserve to be on the same court as the second- and third-year students, and he wants to know if they're worthy of being on the court with the best players in the world. He also tells her not to get involved in the trash-talk, because it's what he wished for. He says he'll do his best to get the team back on track, and then he tells Mi--chan that he knows that without her, the team's ball handling will suffer. He hopes that if the team keeps moving from the left, the other players will be able to follow her movements. He adds that if they keep leading from the right, they can read everything she does, and they'll have a better chance of winning the game. He then tells her to listen to him, because he knows what's going on. He knows that she has a crush on him, but he doesn't want to hurt her. He wants to win the game, he says.
