About This Chapter
When Harima says that she wants to be a fashion designer or a salon owner or something, she's thinking about how her family might influence her future, but she doesn't want to do anything for her family. She wants to do it herself, she says. She's pretty sure that akira will make a lot of money in the stock market or some other thing, and that she'll be able to start Harima up. Harima wants to go into something like archeology or history, but Harima is too scared to do that, because she thinks it's too "lonely" and "sexy" for her. She says she'd be a great housewife if she had four children, but that's not what she wants. She tells Harima that happiness for women lies in marriage, and she says that Harima's life was planned out, but now that he's done with it, he wants to start down a law-related career. He's going to ask for a lifetime of labor to reform Harima, like the men who went on "a lengthy crime spree" , he says. He wants to marry Harima and spend their honeymoon together, just as he wanted it.
