This is a locked chapter# 184 PHANTOM OF THE OPERA
About This Chapter
In this short scene, we learn that the main character of the play is an actor named yakushamaru. He is sitting in a cafe inuzumasa, a town in central Japan, drinking tea with his friend, the harima. The harima asks him if he feels any better, and he replies that he does not want to ruin his school trip. He tells her that he is a professional actor, and that when people think about his work, they usually think of his three parts to get killed in a series. He explains that during his most recent project, he played the part of a harima who was disliked by a young girl because she seemed to think that he was a friend of hers. He says that he cannot blame himself for the girl's confusion, because as an actor, he has the right to play the part for her sake. He also says that, as a professional, he will do his best to make sure that the girl does not mistake him for her friend. He wants to know if the girl thinks he is playing the part because she is fooled by his aura, or because the girl is a fool. He then asks the girl to do the same thing he always does, which is to put a "sukiri" up his right nostril and put an "anko" down his left nostril. The girl says that she always does this, and the actor says that this is what makes him good at it. The actor then shows the girl the wrappings and pastes he has made, and she wants to see what he has done. He asks her if she thinks she is doing this for a school trip, but she says no, because he should not be acting like that. She then asks if he is with an old man with her. The old man says he is, and they leave.
