In the hallway, the two men talk about how they've been fighting all this time, and how they haven't been able to get out of the way of the other's attack. They're not sure why they're talking about each other so much, but it's clear that they don't really understand each other. The two men hide behind a wall, and the other hides behind a window. The guy who's hiding behind the window says that he's just hiding because he wants to kill the guy in front of him. He doesn't want to tell the guy his name, so he just says, "Hey, I'm hiding behind this wall because I want to kill you." The guy in the window replies, "You're right, I was hiding behind that wall to get a better look at the battle field." He's got a pretty good idea of what's going on in the battle, and he figures out that the other guy's been fighting with the other guys, too. The other guy says that the battle isn't over yet, and that everyone's scattered all around the second floor army forward base. He also says that Mihara and Imadori have been fighting, too, but that they all got wiped out by the other soldiers. He figures that the only one left alive is Mihara, who was just outside the second-floor army base. Mihara says that everyone has been fighting outside the army base, too , except for Mihara.
