The next day, Harima wakes up to find that she's done with her studies for the day. She tells herself that it's because of her sore hand that she has to practice with "mumblin mumble" . Harima then tells us that she saw a sprite the other day who wasn't studying at all. The sprite was studying so hard that she didn't even notice that she was late for class. It's clear that Harima doesn't know how to hold a pencil. She asks the sprite to hold it with her hand so that she can write on the exam questions with her own hand. The girl says that she wants to go to "the same college" as Harima's friend, who is studying at the same college. She's not asking for outstanding, she just wants to be allowed to fail the exam.
