In this chapter, we learn that the only person who survived the "parallel world" was a woman named Arcela. She manipulated time to create an alternate future in which she could alter history. Hers was the "original sin" , and she was responsible for the deaths of her mother and herself. The world that she created was a lie, and now that she has destroyed it, she will destroy it herself.
