The two men prepare for the duel, which is to take place in the city's center. The first man tells the other that he will leave the city and meet up with him once he has won. The second man asks the first man if he knows where the heck the heck is taking the king. The man replies that he did, and that he would not have defeated the king alone if it weren't for the fact that he had planned to destroy the city. He tells the second man that the city is sealed with chronos, the second-most powerful magic in the universe. Time warps and erases existence, and chronos is the only thing that can erase existence from history. Time is protected only for harmony, not for destruction. Time will not be destroyed, he says, because he can defeat anyone who holds a dark desire. The other man tells him that he escaped a direct attack, but that such a defense only drains his energy.
